I like this idea, too.

And the upside to all of this is that with so few of us it will not be difficult to coordinate plotting.

Precisely. That is a plus.
All profiles linked to non-deleted accounts on G&I 3 that belong to any of us from here have been kept behind in the profiles section. Everyone else has been moved to inactive characters. If someone knows they do not want to revive a certain character, move it to inactive; I believe we all have moderator or admin accounts with which to do it.
I am going to continue working on my new OC.

That is a solid plan.
You always create the best OC's.

Time for me to chip in my two cents. I would be up for a reboot as well with both Magneto and Shade and agree with all that has been said about the postapocalyptic setting. I'd also be fine with doing a school based setting again and I would possibly be up for taking up either a new OC or very possibly revamp Golem or play another baddie, depending on where we decide to go with our plot.
Also I like what you guys said about the old board and yes, does anyone still have the link?

The old board link is: godsandinsects3.proboards.comI would enjoy having Golem back, but that is pure selfishness on my part due to missing X-Factor. Either way, it will be great to have you, Shade, and Erik all in play. I think going back to how it was before the migration to G&I 4, and then to the apocalypse board, is the best idea. We can still play around with political and/or villain plots, but also have Institute-related stability and general infrastructure.

Thanks Sounds good to me... what do you mean by Apocalypse board though? As in we´d just reset to before the postapocalyptic revamping? As I recall we had some issues plot wise and started the overhaul partly because of that and partly because of a reduced number of players. Anywho, I´d be fine with many things, including giving Golem a proper re-start and getting him more involved but also being up for all kinds of shennenigans for both Shadey and a villain-ish plot for Magneto.

It has been years, and I had to disappear for an ongoing heath matter, so I apologize if my memory was spotty. What I mean is that I remember that when we transferred to G&I 4, we had declared we would start fresh with everything and ignore X-III which meant ignoring most of the character events prior, and then when we moved to G&I Decimation, we went through with the apocalypse that brought about the new setting. If we reboot to G&I 3 for basic events, we can keep everything we want and then jettison everything we do not - revamping characters as we choose, dropping and adding people, tweaking relationships and events to get rid of the heavy burden on canons that have changed hands or on OCs who have lost their character connections - without doing a full on reset. And this way we do not have to worry about the old baord falling into oblivion like G&I 1 due to lack of use.
And if we all come back as a small group with the intention of being a small group, we can handle canons as we need to rather than worry about not filling the roles when new members join.

Agreed. Also, I´d totally be fine with making my characters fit into whatever loose plotline we may come up with.

I remember reading an interview with Joachim dos Santos about their reboot of Voltron (which is a guilty pleasure) and how they realized that having all of the problems/adversaries defeated in the same way gets stale, and so instead they focus on making the characters/situations unique so that they can adapt to the circumstances and triumph a different way.
Instead of focusing on which characters we do not have, we can focus on those that we do and improvise as necessary.

That is a good outlook.
If we take Jean out of the equation for obvious reasons so that she is dead post-X-Men III as originally planned, and then we can choose to keep Scott dead or move him open as needed, we have a fair amount of canons already, and we can also NPC, or possibly get another member back.
We will have Xavier, Pietro and Wanda, Storm, Magneto, Mystique, Rogue, Gambit, Havok, Morph, and possibly Polaris right off the bat. We can NPC Beast or Logan if we need to; if anyone makes more canons, we can bring them into the fold, and we have a good cast of OCs to round out the rest of the plot.
As far as teachers go, we will have Xavier, Storm, Shade, and my new OC will be a teacher, which is already twice as many as there were midway through X-Men III, and with a small group of players, we do not need a huge amount of faculty.
And we can simply assume there are more teachers and students and people around Salem and the City as needed.
It will all work out.

That is fair. We can do whatever with Scott, since X-Men III was done with him before his scenes anyway. We have a lot of flexibility when it comes to faculty, I think, and just saying that there are several more classes, but not elaborating on them, gives us sufficient background without having to physically populate the positions.

I agree. We can coordinate without writing it all out.
